Course Description

Lectures on the importance of finding God’s personal will for your life and principles of personal spiritual growth and maintenance. Three portions of Scripture will form the main structure for this course: Romans 12:1-2; I Thessalonians 5:16-22; and II Peter 1:4-11.

Course Requirements

There are no student handouts for this course. This course is a practical student help course which is given in the seminar/ conference format. The evaluation will be taken from Scripture memory work. The course memory requirement will be to memorize the following passages of Scripture:

Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I Thessalonians 5:16-22
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Quench not the Spirit.
20 Despise not prophesyings.
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

II Peter 1:4-11
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We suggest that you work on this memory work as the course progresses rather than wait until the evaluation time. Memorizing these passages will be ample preparation for the evaluation. All questions will be taken directly from the verses of these passages.
